Closing event of the 'Youth Team' Thuringia

On 2 March 2024, around 30 members of the 'Youth Team' Thuringia met for a closing event at the Thuringia State Parliament. Together with the Youth Check Thuringia project bureau team, they reflected on previous meetings, evaluated the results and gave feedback on the consultation format.

Youth-Check Thuringia to continue until 2026

The Thuringian Cabinet has decided to continue the youth-check Thuringia until what is expected to be 2026. This means that the youth-check Thuringia project bureau can continue its work beyond 2024 and continue to contribute to youth-friendly legislation in Thuringia.

Retrospective: Digital youth consultation - Youth Audit #3

The aim of Youth Audit #3 was to review and improve the work of the Youth Check Centre of Excellence (KomJC) with contributions from young people between the ages of 12 and 27. The young people provided feedback on the Youth Check app as experts in their own right, conducted a Youth Check on a real draft law using the assessment tool, discussed the function of the Youth Check within the Federal Government's youth strategy and informed the KomJC team about the concerns that different groups of young people have.

Lively discussion and enthusiastic feedback from the world of young people: The Youth Check Centre of Excellence engaged in a dialogue with about 20 young people in a consultation workshop on the planned legalisation of cannabis.

Retrospective: Consultation workshop on the planned introduction of basic child support

The second consultation workshop organised by the Youth Check Centre of Excellence was held from 16 to 18 June. The workshop brought together 20 young people from across Germany to discuss the planned introduction of basic child support. Through a process of collective deliberation, the participants identified and analysed the potential effects of the reform on the lives of young people.

Retrospective: Second round of youth consultations in the Youth Check Thuringia programme

On 10 September 2023, the second consultative meeting of the 'Youth Team' took place in Erfurt as part of the Youth Check Thuringia programme. Around 30 young people from all over Thuringia took part in discussions about possible changes to the Thuringian Service Law, thus contributing to the ongoing Youth Check process.

Regulatory Impact Assessment for the Young Generation: The Youth-Check in Germany
