Final decision

After the interview and after careful consideration, we will make a final decision. If the decision is in your favour, we will work with you and Human Resources to prepare for your first day of work.

The process may vary depending on the vacancy. The NIPAG is committed to increasing the proportion of women in science. Severely disabled persons will be given preferential consideration if they are suitably qualified.

We offer you

Active opportunities

With us, you will have the opportunity to actively shape public life and the transition to a modern, sustainable and digital society, thereby strengthening the common good. Become part of a world-class, highly motivated, interdisciplinary team with a flat hierarchy.

Diverse and challenging work

You will work on challenging research and consultancy projects for government departments and agencies at federal and state level, as well as for international organisations and governments of other countries. You will learn how to develop research and reform concepts and write scientific reports. You will communicate with politicians and administrators at all levels. You will also be encouraged to pursue an academic career. You will have the opportunity to study for a doctorate. You can broaden your knowledge through intensive interdisciplinary exchange with national and international academics and practitioners, and present your findings at conferences and congresses.

Flexible and team-centric structures

Team spirit is very important to us at the NIPAG. Your new colleagues will be looking forward to meeting you. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team and become actively involved from the very beginning. Modern and flexible working methods allow you to balance your private and professional life.

Various sites

Our Institute, which is funded by federal and state governments, is located in Speyer, in the heart of the Rhine-Neckar Triangle. Major cities such as Mannheim and Karlsruhe are within easy reach. You can experience nature at its finest in the surrounding vineyards.

Would you prefer to live and work in the capital city? Then apply to work at our Berlin site.

Diversity and equality

Every employee, regardless of origin, gender, age, religion and biography, sexual orientation or ideology, should experience an appreciative, respectful and non-discriminatory working environment and thus be able to use and develop to their full potential.

Diversity  - a key, strategic success factor
We see the diversity and individuality of our employees as an opportunity and an asset. It is part of our strength.

Promoting women in science
Because women are still underrepresented in science, the NIPAG has also set itself the goal of using appropriate measures to increase the share of women. These measures are summarised in an equal opportunities plan.
