Different work and meeting situations in presence and digital , New Work

The third workshop in the “New Work in Public Administration” series of events will take place from April 2 to 3. As in previous years, the event will be organized by the National Intsitute for Public Administration (NIPAG) and held in cooperation with the subcommittee “General Administrative Organization” (UA AV) of AK VI of the Conference of Interior Ministers under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jan Ziekow and Dr. Silke I. Keil.

Under the title “Satisfied with New Work”, the effects of New Work on the satisfaction and health of employees will be discussed this year, once again with well-known managers from federal, state and local authorities as well as the private sector. In several input presentations from the fields of science (NIPAG, Leipzig Graduate School of Management), business (Degewo) and public administration at state level (Hamburg Finance Authority, Brandenburg Ministry of the Interior and Municipal Affairs, Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and the municipal level, Berlin-Schöneberg District Court) participants will gain an insight into the individual New Work concepts that are already being implemented or will be implemented in the future. A subsequent discussion offers all participants the opportunity for a joint exchange of ideas on obstacles and successes in the conception, introduction and/or permanent implementation.

The third workshop is the continuation of the workshop on “New Work in the Administration”, which was successfully held by the NIPAG for the first time in June 2023 and then in September 2024 for the General Administrative Organization Subcommittee of Working Group VI of the Conference of Interior Ministers. In previous workshops, the participants have already had the opportunity to intensively explore the practical implementation of New Work approaches in public administration at all three administrative levels as well as in the private sector. In addition to new space and workplace concepts, these workshops also focused on the role of leadership, communication and the administration as an attractive employer.
