The article deals with the increasing use of robotic dogs such as "Spot" by Boston Dynamics and "Vision 60" by Ghost Robotics by police authorities worldwide. It describes their various applications, such as patrols, exploring dangerous locations, or assisting in police operations. Unlike real police dogs, these robots can continuously collect data, communicate with citizens, and operate either remotely or autonomously. The article points out that some models can even be equipped with weapons and that current legislation is not adequately prepared to appropriately regulate the associated risks.
