Starting in July, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will fund Rafael Leite's stay at the National Institute for Public Administration Germany (NIPAG) under the auspices of the renowned German Chancellor Fellowship, meaning that the NIPAG is once again playing host for the fellowship.

The German Chancellor Fellowship is aimed at future management leaders from abroad. Applicants were required to submit a project plan and take part in a selection process. Only up to 50 people are funded at any one time, and the selection rate is 25%. Funding is provided for a one-year stay in Germany, including an intensive language course, networking events and study trips.

Rafael Leite is currently based in São Paulo (Brazil) working for the New South Institute (South Africa). He has extensive experience in public administration consultancy and has contributed to numerous publications. At the NIPAG he will be working on the project 'The Complexity of Public Service Employment', which fits perfectly into our current research programme 'Transformation of the administration'. The NIPAG is looking forward to an interesting exchange of ideas and solutions.
