Arrival by car
Coming from Autobahn A 61 leave at junction Speyer for Bundesstraße B 9 direction Speyer/Germersheim/Landau. Being on the B 9 take the exit Speyer/Dudenhofen. Turn left into direction Speyer.
At the first traffic light turn right into Freiherr-vom-Stein-Straße. On your left you find the entrance of the German University of Administrative Sciences (DHV) Speyer and a parking lot. For the research institute (FÖV) pass both and the student's residential hall. At the crossing turn right again into Otto-Mayer-Straße. After approx. 200 metres - shortly after the bus stop - you turn right for the parking lot behind the research institute's building. Alternatively, you may keep straight on until you reach the parking lot of the guesthouse at the end of the street.
Arrival by train
Mannheim central station is a major stopover for high speed trains (ICEs) on the north/south route. From there communter trains (S-Bahn) are leaving for Speyer (S 3 and 4) approx. every 30 Minutes on the hour and half past. The journey takes about 25 minutes. The research institute (FÖV) is situated about 3 kilometres away from Speyer central station. Going on foot takes about 20-25 minutes. We recommend to take a taxi or Bus 561 which is leaving at the bus stop "Bahnhof" on platform 1. Get off at the bus stop "Verwaltungshochschule" (the entrance of the university is in Freiherr-vom-Stein-Straße) or at "Landesarchiv/-bibliothek" respectively for the research institute (FÖV) and the guesthouse. Buses are running daily between approx. 06:00h a.m. and 19:30h p.m. Detailed information on times and fares can be found online at www.vrn.de (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar).
