Data protection statement

Upon accessing the internet offer of the German Research Institute (FÖV), the following information is saved in a log:

• abbreviated IP address of the computer from which the request was sent,
• server-related information,
• browser type operated by the client, device type and operating system,
• data concerning server service used,
• protocol version,
• name of the data retrieved and/or offer sites,
• date and time,
• data volume transferred,
• status information.

These data are used exclusively for statistical purposes in order to improve the offer and guarantee correct operation. Personal user profiles will not be created. The FÖV uses the infrastructure of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (Speyer Uni). This results in an exchange of data between the FÖV and Uni Speyer. No information is passed on to third parties.

Web analysis

For this website we collect statistical usage data with the analysis software Matomo. In this way, we can continuously improve and develop our internet offer and better adapt it to the needs of users. To this end, Matomo transfers text information (HTTP cookie) to your browser, which is valid for seven days. Within this time period, this browser can be recognised again when retrieving information from the site. However, no personal data is collected as part of this process: alongside general information concerning technical equipment during page visits (such as browser version and operating system version) and the visit itself (such as time and duration of use), Matomo does also process your IP address, however with the last two octets abbreviated, as is recommended by the Schleswig-Holstein Independent Regional Centre for Data Protection for example. Generally speaking, an address with this level of anonymity can no longer be traced to an individual end device or person. None of this data is handed over to third parties.

Nevertheless you are able to veto this data collection: you can block cookies. Many browsers can be configured in such a way that cookies are not accepted or only accepted from selected websites. The cookie from our Matomo analysis software can also be blocked in this manner. You can find more detailed information on this point in the data protection settings of your browser. Please be aware however that many websites cannot be used or may only be used in a limited capacity without cookies. For many browsers there are however extensions available, which only block cookies and scripts, which track usage.

Cookies

We use cookies in order to design our website in the optimum way. By the continued use of our website, you are consenting to the use of cookies. These do not include personal data. You can block cookies. Many browsers can be configured in such a way that cookies are not accepted or only accepted from selected websites. You can find more detailed information on this point in the data protection settings of your browser.

Protection of minors

Children and persons under 18 years of age should not submit to us any personal information without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request the data of children, we do not collect it and we do not pass it on to third parties.

Storage of personal information

In certain cases, the use of the offer requires the submission of personal data such as your name, address or contact details. Insofar as this occurs, the form, scope and purpose of this processing are presented in the corresponding context. By submitting the requested data, you are consenting to it being processed. You can withdraw this consent from the FÖV with effect for the future at any time. This will bring about no disadvantages to you. The FÖV uses the administrative organisation of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (Speyer Uni) in accordance with § 67 (4) of the Regional Law Governing the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (DUVwG). In this context there is an exchange of data between the FÖV and Speyer Uni. No information is passed on to third parties.

The available data protection statement is valid for the websites of the domain foev-speyer.de. Insofar as content from other providers is referenced via links, their data collection principles may differ entirely from those stated above.

Right to information

You have the right to access any of your personal information which has been saved and further the right to correct false information and the right to block and delete information. Should you wish for data to be corrected or deleted or should you have further questions concerning the use of your data, please contact the operator named in the legal information on the website used.
Through the development of our websites or the use of new technologies, it may become necessary to amend this data protection statement. The FÖV reserves the right to amend this data protection statement at any time with effect for the future. We recommend you periodically reread the current data protection statement.
