Analysis of the State of Affairs to Improve Benefits for Children and Youth with Disabilities
The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth has launched a wide participatory and dialogue process for modernizing child and youth welfare. One of the points of discussion is the implementation of an inclusive child and youth welfare, including a transfer of responsibility for children and youth with disabilities from social welfare to child and youth welfare.
The InVR is conducting an analysis of the current state of affairs in integration assistance to children and youth with disabilities. This includes an online survey addressed to social and youth welfare offices in order to collect comparable data on the personnel situation, the number of cases and finances. Additionally, the InVR will draw up options for a possible transfer of responsibilities and assess these from a legal perspective. The project aims at providing a reliable basis for discussions in the dialogue process.
